The Father Josaphat Jean Foundation was founded by individuals who recognized that education is critical to success in life.
The Foundation is named in honor of Father Josaphat Jean (1885-1972), a French-Canadian priest, born in Quebec, who became a key figure in the Ukrainian Catholic Church, and represented Ukrainian interests in Canada and internationally. Since 1964, the Foundation has awarded scholarships to deserving Ukrainian students. Many of our award recipients have gone on to become leaders in education, medicine, law, engineering, business, broadcasting and other fields.
